The Ashihik Meade Curly Horses have arrived!

They have arrived 😍 !! The Diamond E together with Cecilia and Rob Riley welcome these seven lovely, wild and curly mares from South Dakota. These mares will be the foundation mares for our Ashihik Meade Bashkir Curly breeding program. they are descended from Meade and Yellow Hornet lines. Our Bashkir Curly stallion, "Duck N Run Dun" came out of this herd 6 years ago. Among the group is Duck's dam "Avy", the red roan with the bald face. She will be bred to our other Curly stallion, Noah, next year. We are so blessed and thankful that the Buchholz Ranch and Shannon Eliason allowed us to bring these fine mares to Kentucky. And thank you to Brandon Day for hauling them across the country and getting them here safe and sound! Over the winter the boys will gentle these mares and start some under saddle (if age permits and not pregnant). We will be working on their registered names, DNA and registration. But in the meantime, we welcome oldest to youngest... Avy, Valentine, Willow, Veera, Marilla, Tilde and Briar.
