Companion Animals

Not all of our horses can be sold as sound and healthy riding mounts. Some surrenders come to us with health problems or old injuries that leave them pasture sound only. We occasionally get ponies or minis that are just too frisky to be reliable children's mounts or have no affinity for driving. We also take in elderly horses needing to find a soft place to land and live out their remaining years with love and dignity.
Many of these horses can be placed in home with children needing an experienced and kind older mount, or as a companion for another solitary equine.
If you have an equine needing a special home or need a companion at your farm, please contact us. We will do our best to help.

Be sure to also check out the equines available for adoption at Heartland Equine Rescue.
We have several of their horses here in training to help them reach their potential and have the best chance of finding their perfect home.
Their available equines range from riding horses to companion animals.
